Over the space of three days I used many different types of media, these included: television, radio, newspapers/magazines and the internet.
During the three days I watched an hour and a half of television programmes in my bedroom by myself. I chose to do this out of boredom.
As well as watching the television, I also read the daily newspapers for around ten minutes each day to catch up on news. I usually read the newspaper around 6pm when it is delivered, more often than not in the living room.
Another type of media which I often use is the radio for up to twenty minutes a day, whilst on car journeys with my family or friends. Along with the radio, I also am often listening to music on my iPod or using iTunes. I always listen to my iPod when walking my dog alone or when using the computer in the study. This can range from an hour to up to three hours a day.
Over the weekend, if I have nothing planned I often by a couple of fashion magazines to occupy myself. I will usually read them for about an hour by myself at home or even in the car if on a long car journey.
When I have credit on my phone, I am always texting friends to communicate. If I am having a conversation with someone through text messaging then I will text every couple of minutes, otherwise I will text every few hours.
During the weekend I also used myspace, a social networking site, in order to socialise with my friends when I am at home. I will use it for an average of an hour a day, usually at night after college. When socialising, I also use MSN, usually for the same duration as myspace.
